Dainik Bhaskar, Jaipur: Saturday, 14 April 2012: Sarabjit’s release strongly: Former human rights minister of Pakistan Ansar Banerjee has said that an attempt will be made to release him as soon as possible by commuting the death sentence of Sarabjit, an Indian citizen who has been in Karachi jail in Pakistan for 22 years, to life imprisonment. He will also hold talks with the President of Pakistan to consider Sarabjit’s mercy petition. He was speaking at a press conference organized by Aam-e-Hindustani at the Pinkcity Press Club auditorium on Friday. He said that recently President Zardari’s visit to Delhi-Ajmer has created an atmosphere of good relations between the two countries. He expressed happiness over the release of Pakistani scientist Khalil Chishti, who was serving life imprisonment for twenty years in Ajmer jail. On the other hand, President Zardari has been praised for the release of Laxman Bambhania, a cancer-stricken Indian citizen lodged in Karachi jail. Purpose of Ansar Burney’s visit to India: The original purpose of the visit of former human rights minister of Pakistan Ansar Burney is to deliver justice and love for peace between India and Pakistan. He will pray for the restoration of peace in Indo-Pak relations at Ajmer Sharif Dargah today. Sandeep Gupta was present in the event as this event was organized by Aam-E-Hindustani Forum.
