Dainik Bhaskar, City Bhaskar, Jaipur: Tuesday, 1 November 2005: A day before Diwali, the cricket stars arrived in the Pink City, while their presence in Jaipur would also be helpful for the earthquake victims. The cricket bat signed by eleven players of Team India will provide blankets to children in the earthquake tragedy in Kashmir. The bat signed by the players of the winning team of India-Sri Lanka One-Day cricket match in Jaipur will be auctioned on Monday, and earthquake victims will be given blankets from the auction proceeds. This work is done by the city’s chief tax consultant Sandeep Gupta. Under his predetermined plan ‘Ek Kambal-Ek Zindagi’, he will go to Uri (Jammu and Kashmir) on November 6 with a minimum of five thousand blankets to give them. Sandeep Gupta said that they have collected two and a half thousand blankets so far, now they expect to collect more than five thousand blankets from the bat auction. Sandeep Gupta said that the work was difficult but it was possible with the support of RCA-linked Anant Vyas and cricketer Irfan Pathan. Sandeep Gupta has already carried relief material for earthquake victims and tsunami victims of Orissa, Gujarat.
